The Magic Behind Eight20Eight
Eight20Eight came to life from both a vision and desire to create uplifting messages that were solely rooted in faith-based values. While this is not a new concept, Eight20Eight Creations' approach will focus on apparel as the product line increases.
The brilliance of Eight20Eight's versatility lies in its eCommerce shop site in EIght20Eight Creations, a community resource in 828 Creations, and also sibling entities in DPdesignWorks and Monkeyboxer Creative.
828 - How it all Began
There's a beginning to every story.
For myself, this one began with struggling to move forward in life - from a 30+ career in advertising and marketing, predominantly as a graphic designer at various companies. Versatility led to advancements in print and web design. The most recent stint I wore multiple hats as a custom award designer and also handled all sales and billing for a marketing company for 6+ years.
Feeling burnout imminent and seeking a change in focus, and no viable options open for career change, a miraculous dream came one night. In this vision came a desire to spread God's word and bring His messages to life in some way. I needed to create a company name that resonated with me, which lead to thinking of scripture names. The aim was to come up with a way to use numbers in combination with a creative name. Then it appeared..
8 2 8. Simple numbers but also my birth month and day. Hmmm.. this could be something. Upon researching a Bible app, low and behold, there was a beautiful scripture: Romans 828: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
It felt like a good fit - and from there, everything began to fall into place!
Faith Matters
Why does faith matter?
For starters, it can fuel a positive day, uplift moods and offer a sense of peace.
Without faith, whirlwinds and tides of catastrophic negativeness can cripple the mind, confuse one's thinking, and cause depression or worse.
Keeping this in mind, Faith Matters is a sense of well being - and also has become the tagline of Eight20Eight Creations.
While corruption, greed and tyranny continue to plaque our world, we need to find faith again, and to trust the word of God and His amazing love for us.
